A rewarding opportunity awaits a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist seeking a meaningful contract role for the 2025/2026 school year. Step into an elementary school environment where you’ll make a real difference in the lives of young learners, serving primarily TK through 2nd grade students. Your caseload will cover a diverse mix of Speech-Only, Resource Specialist Program (RSP), and Special Day Class (SDC) students, offering professional variety and the chance to expand your skills.
This in-person assignment runs from January 5, 2026, through June 12, 2026, at a single school site, with a steady schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license in California
- Experience in school settings, especially with TK-2nd grade students, is preferred
- Strong abilities in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention planning for Speech-Only, RSP, and SDC populations
- Effective communication with students, teachers, and families
- Organizational skills for managing a varied caseload
- Flexibility to adapt to diverse student needs and collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech therapy to students in small groups and individually
- Develop, implement, and track progress on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct speech and language assessments as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education staff
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services and progress
