Speech Pathology - Palmdale, CA
Make an immediate impact supporting elementary and middle school students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic educational setting near Palmdale, CA. This rewarding opportunity is open to SLPs holding either their CCC or CFY, and requires a current California SLP License. You'll work closely with a diverse caseload of 55 students, helping them achieve their communication goals in both individual and group settings.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with teachers, staff, and families, ensuring high-quality speech services for all assigned students. Your responsibilities will include conducting and completing assessments, leading the IEP process from start to finish, and presenting findings in team meetings. Strong organizational skills and excellent communication are key as you manage documentation and maintain compliance with all district and state-mandated procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid California SLP License
- CCC or CFY credentials accepted
- Recent experience in school-based settings preferred
- Proficiency with assessments, IEP development and attendance, and collaborative teamwork
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
What you’ll do:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to elementary and middle school students
- Complete comprehensive evaluations and ongoing progress monitoring
- Develop, implement, and present IEPs
- Work with special education teams to support student success
- Maintain compliance and accurate documentation
This contract position starts as soon as possible and continues through June 2026. Enjoy the stability of a full-time schedule—40 hours a week, Monday through Friday—while earning $60 per hour.
