Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a contract Speech Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year in the Jacksonville, FL area. As an onsite clinician, you'll make a lasting impact while collaborating with school teams across multiple sites (locations to be confirmed) and serving a diverse Pre K-12 student population with mild to moderate needs. This itinerant role offers the chance to broaden your caseload management skills and enrich your professional journey.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Florida Department of Health SLP license (CCC required)
- Experience or interest in working with children across Pre K-12
- Strong organizational skills to manage varying site assignments and caseloads (approximately 60 students, depending on placement)
- Ability and willingness to commute between assigned schools as needed
- Recent Florida school district fingerprint clearance (through AHCA Clearinghouse preferred) or willingness to complete required background and verification steps
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students onsite during school hours
- Evaluate, plan, and deliver IEP-aligned interventions for a range of speech and language disorders
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with district guidelines
- Collaborate with special education staff, classroom teachers, and families to support each student’s communication development
- Participate in IEP meetings as an essential team contributor
- Support effective transitions and service continuity for students between campuses, as assigned
