Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Saint Helens, Oregon

As a valued Speech-Language Pathologist, your expertise will directly impact students across one or two local school settings, focusing on comprehensive evaluations, direct therapy delivery, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) management. The position includes both on-site and off-site responsibilities, with up to four days in-person and one day dedicated to administrative duties each week. You will supervise and mentor a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA), fostering professional growth within your team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct standard school-based speech and language evaluations and develop targeted intervention plans.
- Deliver therapy sessions to students with diverse communication needs.
- Manage and update IEP documentation in compliance with best practices and guidelines.
- Offer direct supervision and support to an on-site SLPA.
- Collaborate in multidisciplinary meetings and communicate with educators and families.
- Complete administrative and indirect services during designated, paid prep time.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Active (or immediately eligible) Oregon State SLP licensure.
- Ability to work on-site at school locations at least 4 days weekly.
- Capable of clearing fingerprinting and background checks before beginning the assignment.
- Prior school-based SLP experience preferred; CFYs, please note: supervision is not available.
