In this position, you’ll work primarily across Buffalo Creek Middle School and Prine Elementary. Buffalo Creek Middle offers a supportive atmosphere with a new principal and a focused caseload, including two low cognitive units and one behavior unit, serving about 50 students directly plus an additional group on consult. At Prine Elementary, you’ll join an experienced SLP and a skilled SLPA to serve a dynamic population—ranging from intensive pre-K to integrated and low cognitive classrooms—reaching approximately 95 students within the therapy team.
Your role will involve helping students with varying communication needs access the curriculum and achieve their goals, collaborating with staff and families, leading IEP meetings, and maintaining thorough documentation. The start date is flexible—begin as soon as possible and continue through the end of the school year.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Florida SLP license required
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
- Strong skills in collaboration and communication
- Passion for working with diverse student age groups and abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative SLP services to K-8 students
- Participate in assessment, IEP development, and progress monitoring
- Implement individualized and group therapies
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and families
