Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Rio Rico, AZ

This full-time, onsite position supports two elementary schools in the Rio Rico, AZ area, delivering crucial speech therapy services to young learners. The caseload includes case management for 25 students identified as Speech or Language Impaired (SLI), with direct services extending to an additional 35 students, totaling approximately 60 children. You'll play a vital role in helping students develop their communication skills and thrive in their educational environment.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Holds or is eligible for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status
- Current state licensure or ability to obtain licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Knowledge and experience with school-based therapy preferred, particularly in pediatric and elementary settings
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration abilities to work effectively across teams and with families
- Passion for supporting diverse learners and tailoring interventions to individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to elementary-aged students according to IEP goals
- Manage a caseload of 25 SLI-only students and deliver services to a total group of 60
- Conduct assessments, participate in eligibility meetings, and draft data-driven IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families, offering consultation and strategies
- Maintain thorough documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines
