Speech Language Pathologist in Renton, WA
Step into a meaningful role supporting early childhood learners for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This engaging, onsite opportunity focuses on providing speech-language services to children from birth to age five across three buildings, offering a unique chance to collaborate with a dedicated SLPA and a professional educational team.
The position’s full-time schedule allows you to fully invest in making a difference for approximately 45 students, focusing on IEPs and IFSPs within a diverse community. What we’re looking for:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Valid SLP license/certification for Washington state
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Previous pediatric or early childhood experience – expertise with students birth to 5 is strongly preferred
- Experience working with Native American populations is strongly preferred
- School-based SLP experience, specifically with IEP and IFSP processes
- Willingness and flexibility for a 12-month contract
- Comfortable working onsite at multiple locations
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Willing to undergo credentialing, including a BIE adjudication process, which may delay start by approximately one week
What you’ll do:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to early childhood caseload
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs & IFSPs
- Collaborate with staff, families, and an assigned SLPA
- Travel between three nearby building sites
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation
