A contract opportunity is now open near Lakewood, WA, for experienced master’s level Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) looking to make a direct impact in school settings. There are currently 10-12 roles available, providing the chance to join a collaborative educational environment focused on student development and support.
Currently, the district is seeking on-site SLP professionals—virtual SLPs and SLPAs are not being considered for these openings. As part of the team, you will play a critical hands-on role by providing in-person services to students, helping close the gap created by previous virtual placements.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active Washington SLP license (or eligibility)
- ASHA certification preferred
- Recent experience working in school settings
- Passion for supporting diverse student populations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy services to students with a range of needs
- Administer assessments, create IEP goals, and document student progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized education plans
- Provide direct therapy, consultation, and support for students, staff, and families
- Participate in meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
- Maintain accurate records and stay current with compliance requirements
