Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Redwood City, CA

Step into an impactful school-based opportunity working with students in transitional kindergarten through 5th grade. This contract position starts on August 12, 2026, and continues through June 4, 2027, with a 16-hour-per-week schedule designed for work-life balance. You’ll support approximately 15 students in a close-knit learning environment, making a tangible difference at the elementary level.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid state licensure for school-based SLP services (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience delivering speech therapy in an elementary school setting is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education processes
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families and educational teams
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students in TK-5th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting articulation, fluency, voice, language, and pragmatic/social communication needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and detailed progress reports in line with district, state, and federal requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support classroom integration and generalization of therapy goals
- Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings, providing input for student goals and progress
- Implement evidence-based techniques and adaptive strategies tailored to student needs
- Provide support and resources to staff and parents for carryover of skills
