Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Whittier, CA

Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Demonstrated experience or training with elementary-age students
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and goal-setting
- Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Ability to provide both direct therapy and consultative support within school settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure cohesive support
- Maintain thorough documentation for compliance and progress monitoring
- Facilitate small group and one-on-one speech therapy sessions
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
- Advocate for communication needs within the school community
This contract position offers a consistent weekly schedule—37.5 hours per week—throughout the school year, allowing you to build relationships and make a measurable difference. You’ll work on a vibrant campus in El Monte, California, with a caseload focused on elementary students.
