Key qualifications and experience:
- Valid Washington State SLP License required
- SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology services
- Must complete fingerprinting through OSPI
- Comfort working with elementary-age students
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs tailored to students’ needs
- Familiarity with onsite and remote service delivery (VOCO)
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering direct speech-language therapy to students
- Assessing and evaluating speech, language, and communication disorders
- Developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress monitoring
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participating in IEP meetings and providing student advocacy
- Documenting services and maintaining compliance with district and state requirements
- Flexibility to provide services onsite at an elementary resource room or online as needed
- Serving as a resource to staff for best practices in communication support
