School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Portales, New Mexico

This full-time contract opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist is available near Portales, NM, with work across multiple sites in a dynamic, collaborative school environment. You’ll play a vital role in helping students reach their communication and academic goals, serving a diverse range of ages and populations (specific assignments to be determined).
Key Qualifications:
- Active New Mexico SLP License required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- School-based SLP experience is desirable
- Willingness to provide itinerant services across different school locations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct SLP services in accordance with IEPs and student needs
- Conduct evaluations, write reports, and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Adapt interventions and approaches to suit a variety of settings and student populations
- Travel between multiple school locations as part of your weekly schedule
- Participate in eligibility and IEP meetings as a core member of the student support team
This contract position begins as soon as possible and runs through May 2027, offering a consistent, long-term assignment. Full-time hours (37.5 per week) provide ample opportunities to build relationships and see lasting student progress. You’ll work on-site, connecting directly with students and staff and experiencing the enriching environment of local schools.
