This engaging on-site role begins in the Fall, providing coverage for two maternity leaves at local schools with ages ranging from K-8 through high school.
You’ll work one school per assignment, collaborating with experienced SLPs and SLPAs, and supporting students with diverse communication needs, including those in ASD units. Each position guarantees a consistent weekday schedule, allowing you to focus on building strong relationships with your students and school staff.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current CCC certification
- Active Florida state SLP license
- Experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity working with diverse caseloads, including students with autism
- Ability to complete district credentialing and fingerprinting requirements (AHCA Clearinghouse transferable)
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide direct speech-language services to students, adapting strategies for varying age groups (K-8 or high school)
- Collaborate with existing on-site SLPs, SLPAs, teachers, and school staff
- Document progress, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, and assist with IEP development
- Offer support and guidance to families and teachers to maximize student outcomes
