With just 7 hours per week, you’ll positively impact the communication skills of 8 students receiving speech therapy.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
- Bilingual proficiency, with the ability to provide assessments and therapy in both English and a second language
- Experience delivering speech therapy services in a school setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills when working with students, families, and multidisciplinary education teams
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for assigned students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), tailoring interventions to meet each student’s unique needs
- Provide direct therapy sessions to improve communication, language, and articulation skills
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and professionals to support student goals and monitor progress
- Maintain accurate and timely records on therapy sessions, progress notes, and required state or district documentation
- Participate in IEP team meetings and contribute expertise to guide program modifications and student support strategies
