Speech Language Pathologist in Plainfield, NJ

You’ll have the valuable opportunity to shadow the outgoing SLP for optimal preparation and a smooth transition, ensuring you feel confident stepping in. The role is exclusively in-person, focusing on direct support—remote or VOCO services are not included.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid New Jersey Department of Education SLP certification
- Experience working within a school setting, ideally with students from PreK through high school
- Familiarity with low-tech AAC devices; comfort supporting nonverbal students
- Skillful communicator, team-oriented, and flexible
- Ability to independently manage a school caseload and collaborate with educators and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person speech-language pathology services to PreK-12th grade students
- Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders, including nonverbal cases
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans; monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and family members to maximize student success
