You’ll provide direct services to a caseload of approximately 25 students diagnosed with a range of learning disabilities. Work alongside a collaborative team in a structured, supportive environment where you can make a direct impact throughout the academic year.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to high school students in individual and group settings
- Assess and track student progress, updating goals as appropriate
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for each student on your caseload
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain detailed documentation according to district and legal guidelines
- Participate in student-centered meetings and contribute expertise in speech-language pathology
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid Illinois state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
- Experience working with high school students and knowledge of varied learning disabilities
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Schedule & Details:
- 8:00am to 3:00pm, three days per week (required: Wednesday, with flexibility for the other two days)
- Academic year contract: August 12, 2025 – May 15, 2026
- Onsite only with no remote options
