Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services in a school setting in Mt. Zion, Illinois for the 2026–2027 school year. This position is based at one school site with a Monday–Friday schedule of approximately 8:00 AM–3:30 PM. The caseload will most likely include a large number of 2nd and 3rd grade students, providing an opportunity to work closely with elementary-aged students and the school team.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students based on individual needs and IEP goals
- Conduct assessments and participate in evaluations as appropriate
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Monitor and document student progress
- Maintain accurate therapy documentation and service records
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, families, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student-centered planning
- Support students' communication, language, and academic participation
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong organization and time-management skills
- Ability to adapt therapy strategies to meet individual student needs
- Comfortable working primarily with elementary-aged students
Qualifications
- Illinois SLP License
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Ability to provide school-based speech-language services
Experience
- School-based experience is preferred but not required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students is a plus
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
