This full-time, onsite contract opportunity runs from November to March and offers the chance to work closely with approximately 40 students in grades PreK through 4. You’ll play a vital role in conducting evaluations for Early Childhood (EC) and K-4 grades, and participate in the MTSS/problem-solving process. Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license required
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate SLP endorsement preferred
- Experience in schools or pediatric settings strongly valued
- Competence in conducting assessments, developing IEPs, and implementing intervention plans
- Understanding of Early Childhood and K-4 developmental milestones
- Strong collaboration skills for working with staff and families
- Familiarity with MTSS frameworks and effective documentation practices
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language screenings, therapy, and diagnostic evaluations for students PreK-4
- Oversee initial and re-evaluations in Early Childhood and elementary grades
- Participate actively in the problem-solving/MTSS team to design effective student support strategies
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain thorough documentation and comply with district and state requirements
