You’ll provide direct therapy, cover new evaluations for Early Childhood (EC) as well as K-4 students, and actively participate in the MTSS/problem-solving process, ensuring all students receive the support they need to thrive.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Illinois SLP License (state and discipline-specific requirement)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois SLPs, as mandated by state guidelines
- Previous school-based experience is highly valued
- Solid understanding of conducting speech evaluations and writing IEPs
- Strong collaboration skills with educators, families, and support staff
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload
- Complete comprehensive speech and language evaluations for EC and K-4 students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and school-based problem-solving teams
- Communicate progress effectively with parents, teachers, and administrators
- Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with state and district policies
