School Speech Language Pathologist - Joliet, IL

Enjoy a consistent and predictable work schedule from 8am to 3pm, three days per week, running from August 12, 2025 to May 15, 2026.
In this position, you will work exclusively onsite, supporting a caseload of 25 high school students identified with various learning disabilities. You’ll collaborate with educators and families, tailoring intervention plans and fostering communication skills that set your students up for success. Wednesday attendance is required each week, but you have the flexibility to choose your additional two onsite days.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or CFY candidates considered
- Active state licensure (or anticipated eligibility) in Illinois as an SLP
- Previous experience supporting high school students with learning disabilities preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to a caseload of 25 students
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and document student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and consult with school staff and families
- Develop and implement individualized therapy interventions to address academic and functional communication needs
- Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
