School Speech Language Pathologist - Pittsford, New York

We're seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to work with middle school, high school, and transition-aged students. This is a contract opportunity running from July 9th through August 19th, with a consistent weekday schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at a well-resourced campus near Pittsford, NY.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with a team of passionate educators and specialists, using your expertise to help students develop essential communication skills. The position offers meaningful variety as you support learners with diverse and complex needs, making every day rewarding.
Ideal candidates bring:
- Master’s degree in Communication Sciences & Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience supporting school-age students, especially individuals with multiple disabilities
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Compassion, patience, and adaptability in dynamic school settings
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting speech-language screenings, assessments, and evaluations
- Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans
- Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Documenting student progress and preparing required reports
- Providing direct and consultative speech therapy services
- Contributing to IEP meetings and transition planning for students
