School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Webster, New York
Step into a rewarding contract role this summer supporting middle school, high school, and transition-age students with multiple disabilities. This engaging opportunity runs from July 9th through August 19th, with a consistent weekday schedule from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm, offering seven hours of meaningful work each day. Your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist will be instrumental in helping students maximize their communication, independence, and participation across educational environments. The role caters to a diverse, supportive school community where collaboration and creativity are highly valued.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license, including Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
- Enthusiasm and experience working with students with multiple disabilities
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Familiarity with IEPs and specialized instruction planning
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to middle and high school students, as well as transition-aged youth with varying abilities
- Contribute to assessment, goal setting, and progress monitoring for IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support student development
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment where each student can thrive
- Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes in accordance with school policies
