School Speech Language Pathologist - Newark, NY

This full-time position focuses on providing high-quality speech-language therapy within a school setting, addressing the needs of K-6 students, with periodic involvement with middle and high school students as well. The primary objective is to enhance general education speech capabilities—working with students who are verbal and benefit from targeted improvements in speech and language.
Skills and Experience Desired:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working within school environments
- Strong focus on general education and speech/language progress for verbal students
- Comfort supporting a mix of elementary, middle, and high school caseloads
- Prior virtual service delivery experience preferred, though on-site is prioritized for younger children
- Ability to collaborate with educators and caregivers to develop and implement individualized plans
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ speech and language needs
- Develop tailored intervention plans to support students in achieving their communication goals
- Provide direct therapy services within general education settings
- Track and document progress, adjusting approaches as needed
- Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and families regarding progress and strategies
- Maintain compliance with all associated reporting and paperwork requirements
