Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for the state of New York
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY applicants will also be considered
- Previous experience working with children across K-12 grades, preferably in a school setting
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Familiarity with IEP processes, goal setting, and progress monitoring
- Ability to adapt therapy and intervention strategies for diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy services for K-12 students
- Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to determine eligibility and therapy needs
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create supportive educational environments
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and professional development sessions
