Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active SLP license or eligibility for licensure in New York
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working with children in a K-12 school setting is highly regarded
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and diagnose students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a diverse K-12 caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student progress
- Monitor and document student outcomes, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations
- Educate and support school staff on best practices for students with communication challenges
