Required qualifications and experience:
- Current, valid New Jersey SLP licensure (CCC required)
- Prior experience working with school-aged populations in educational settings
- Confidence in navigating school environments and collaborating with district personnel
- Strong ability to manage and service a diverse elementary caseload effectively
- Skilled in conducting testing, targeted evaluations, and comprehensive assessments
- Reliable transportation and proximity to the area are essential
- Must be comfortable disclosing background or district familiarity as requested
- Ability to complete onboarding requirements, including physical, TB screening, and fingerprints (as required for agency and district)
- This role is not open to Clinical Fellows (CF) or SLPA candidates due to supervision limitations
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to elementary students
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments and prepare thorough documentation
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress
- Conduct screenings and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
