This role runs from September 4th through June 25th, providing 35 hours of impact each week from 8:15AM to 3:15PM with an elementary caseload at a vibrant school setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey SLP licensure (CCC required)
- Proven experience as a school-based SLP at the elementary level
- Confidence in navigating school district procedures and culture
- Ability to manage screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring independently
- Comfortable with direct service and timely completion of required testing and assessments
- Willingness to comply with onboarding (TB screening, physical examination, and fingerprint/background checks for both agency and district)
- Reliable transportation and reasonable commute
- Not suitable for CF or SLPA candidates due to supervision requirements
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to an elementary student caseload
- Administer standardized assessments, write thorough evaluation reports, and participate actively in IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals
- Develop and implement engaging therapy plans, monitor progress, and maintain up-to-date documentation
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for staff and families regarding speech and language development
