In this full-time role, you will split your time between Buffalo Creek Middle School and Prine Elementary. At Buffalo Creek, you’ll engage with units dedicated to supporting students with cognitive and behavioral needs, working directly with a caseload of approximately 50 students and consulting for 10 more. Prine Elementary offers a chance to collaborate with seasoned SLPs and skilled SLPAs while addressing an inclusive range of special education preschool classes, ASD classrooms, and integrated programs—reaching up to 95 students in total.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active FL SLP license (Required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows encouraged to apply
- Background with school-based SLP services, especially in settings serving intellectually and behaviorally diverse populations
- Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to students based on IEPs
- Complete consultations as needed to support IEP teams
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in accordance with district standards
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and collaborate with existing SLPs, SLPAs, and educators
- Adapt and tailor therapy methods to best support individual student needs
