School Speech Language Pathologist - Palm City, FL
Bring your expertise in Speech-Language Pathology to a vibrant educational environment, supporting students from kindergarten through high school. We have immediate contract opportunities for SLPs with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), each serving a single campus assignment and covering for valued team members on maternity leave.
Embark on an assignment at one of three welcoming school sites, where you’ll work closely with dedicated SLP and support staff. Assignments vary from K-8 settings with collaborative SLP teams or ASD units, to a high school caseload with SLPA assistance, offering unique professional experiences and the chance to make a meaningful difference.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Florida SLP licensure required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) required
- Prior school-based experience preferred, including experience with K-12 populations, ASD, or high school-aged students
- Ability to complete district-required fingerprinting (streamlined for those already in the AHCA Clearinghouse)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite speech-language pathology services for assigned school during the duration of the leave
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, or communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in coordination with IEP teams
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Maintain documentation and progress reports in compliance with district guidelines
- Participate in team meetings as needed
