What you’ll bring:
- Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech Language endorsement
- Active Illinois State License (IDFPR)
- Bilingual skills to better connect with diverse student populations
- Certification as an SLP-CCC; first-year SLPs (CF-SLPs) are encouraged to apply
- SLP-As will be considered if specifically indicated in your application
- Experience or enthusiasm for working with school-aged children in a supportive, educational setting
Your role will include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments in both English and another language, contributing to individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Delivering therapeutic interventions to students with communication disorders
- Collaborating closely with teachers, families, and support staff for well-rounded student care
- Maintaining thorough records of progress and supporting compliance with state educational guidelines
- Adapting to specific caseload assignments as determined by school needs
