Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Elgin, IL

Beginning August 6, 2026, and continuing through May 27, 2027, you'll work full-time, contributing 37.5 hours per week within a welcoming educational environment located near Elgin, IL. Your role will focus on assessment, intervention, and collaboration to support students' communication needs at multiple school sites in the area.
What will you bring?
- ISBE PEL with Speech Language endorsement
- Illinois State License (IDFPR)
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English
- Current Clinical Certificate of Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility (CF-SLPs considered)
- School-based experience or a strong desire to work in a school setting
- Commitment to culturally responsive practice
- Flexibility regarding specific site placements
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations in English and Spanish
- Delivering targeted therapy and individualized interventions for students
- Collaborating closely with educators, families, and interdisciplinary professionals
- Supporting the development and implementation of IEPs
- Documenting progress, maintaining records, and participating in team meetings
- Offering guidance for language development, accent modification, or articulation as needed
- Traveling to assigned sites within the district as required
