This contract opportunity runs from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering the chance to provide essential speech and language services in a diverse school setting. You’ll enjoy full-time hours (37.5 per week), with specific school placements to be determined based on student needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Illinois PEL with Speech-Language endorsement and Illinois State License (IDFPR)
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English required
- Certification as CCC-SLP preferred; strong new graduates (CF-SLPs) also encouraged to apply
- Previous school-based SLP experience a plus
- SLP-Assistants (SLP-As) considered only if specifically noted
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive, individualized speech and language therapy to students ranging in age and need
- Assess, diagnose, and develop IEP goals in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Document student progress and maintain timely, accurate records
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with families and school staff regarding student progress and intervention strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team planning activities
- Support a positive, inclusive school environment for students with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
