School Speech Language Pathologist - Chicago, IL

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to support students' communication and learning success. This is a contract opportunity, perfect for professionals looking for full academic year placements as well as those interested in covering shorter-term maternity leaves.
Current openings include a full-time SLP position at the elementary level for the 2026-27 school year, as well as positions covering maternity leave from August-November and October-January. You’ll collaborate with school staff and use your specialized skills to empower students at pivotal stages of their development.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid SLP-CCC credentials.
- Illinois state licensure or the ability to obtain before start date.
- Experience in school settings or working with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students with a variety of needs.
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families for student progress and goal setting.
- Document and report student progress in accordance with district guidelines.
- Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions.
