Speech Language Pathologist in Cicero, IL
Make a difference in students’ lives by providing high-quality speech-language therapy in a supportive school setting. This contract position offers OT practitioners the chance to work in a rewarding educational environment near Cicero, IL, serving elementary-aged students. You will have the opportunity to contribute as a full-time SLP for the 2026-27 academic year, with the added variety of covering maternity leaves from August to November and from October to January.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Hold Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active state licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
What You'll Do:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Deliver direct therapy services to elementary students
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families on student progress and strategies
- Document sessions and maintain appropriate records in compliance with regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert recommendations to best support student needs
- Adapt and adjust interventions to foster student growth across various grades
- Effectively manage a rotating caseload, serving both full-time and maternity leave assignments
