This role is based near vibrant Chicago Ridge, IL—an area celebrated for its welcoming communities and easy access to the dynamic culture, food, and music of the greater Chicago area. Your primary focus will be a maternity leave coverage with an elementary caseload (grades 2-5, about 28-30 students) during the fall semester. You’ll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 am to 3:15 pm (6.75-hour days, 33.75 hours per week), giving you predictable hours and evenings free to unwind.
Requirements:
- Active SLP license in Illinois, CCC certification required
- Experience with school-age children, particularly elementary grades
- Strong collaborative skills and adaptability to new environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech/language therapy to students (2nd–5th grade)
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
- Complete documentation and progress reports as required
