School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Orange Park, Florida

Step into a rewarding opportunity to support students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in a dynamic school setting. This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners from pre-K through 12th grade. As part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you’ll help empower students to find their voice and succeed in communication.
We’re looking for fully credentialed SLPs (CCC required) for on-site roles—this is not a remote or telepractice/VOCO assignment. Upon assignment, you’ll support a diverse caseload of approximately 60 students with mild to moderate needs (final numbers based on school location), offering direct services, collaborating with educators and families, and contributing to individualized education plans.
The work schedule is a consistent 35 hours per week (seven hours daily) throughout the full academic year, beginning in August and extending into late May, creating predictable work-life balance and professional stability.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and active Florida DOH Speech-Language Pathology license (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working in school-based environments, with comfort supporting students from pre-K to 12th grade
- Familiarity with assessment, documentation, and therapy for mild to moderate communication needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Completion of Florida school district fingerprinting (or ability to verify/obtain through the AHCA Clearinghouse)
- Dedication to fostering a positive, supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy and interventions for assigned caseload
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to planning/goal-setting
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Comply with all district and state policies, including credentialing requirements
