Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Previous experience working with elementary school students preferred
- Strong background in assessment, intervention, and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Skilled in collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Professionalism, adaptability, and organizational talent
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for elementary students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student goals
- Provide direct intervention services in individual and group settings
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Educate teachers and families on strategies to support student communication needs in the classroom and at home
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
- Stay current on best practices and comply with school policies and procedures
