Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
  • Previous experience working with elementary school students preferred
  • Strong background in assessment, intervention, and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Skilled in collaborating with teachers, parents, and support staff
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Professionalism, adaptability, and organizational talent

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for elementary students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student goals
  • Provide direct intervention services in individual and group settings
  • Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Educate teachers and families on strategies to support student communication needs in the classroom and at home
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Stay current on best practices and comply with school policies and procedures
