Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to elementary students
- Provide direct therapy services within individual, group, or classroom settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students’ progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to plan development
- Keep accurate and compliant records of student progress and interventions
- Support classroom teachers with strategies to foster student communication and language growth
