Desired Experience and Skills:
- Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license (state certification required)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Previous school-based SLP experience, particularly with complex needs and significant ASD populations
- Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and experience collaborating on multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt session materials and strategies to meet diverse needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language services to students with complex disabilities and ASD, individually and in groups
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement detailed treatment plans, and track student progress
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, aides, families, and related service providers
- Document services and maintain all required student records in compliance with school and legal standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute informed recommendations to support best outcomes
- Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment and advocate for students’ communication needs
