Position Details
- Position: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Location: Virginia Beach/Norfolk Area, VA
- School Year: 2026–2027
- Schedule: 7.33 hours per day, 5 days per week
- Caseload: K-12 (placement based on district needs and experience)
- Multiple openings available
Areas Served
Assignments may be located in one of the following school districts/counties:
- Chesapeake
- Isle of Wight County
- Norfolk
- Portsmouth
- Southampton County
- Suffolk
- Virginia Beach
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student IEPs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success.
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete required compliance paperwork.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Virginia SLP license (or ability to obtain before the start date).
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- School-based experience is a plus, but motivated candidates with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
