Make a difference in the lives of students ages 5-22 as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist working part-time in a supportive educational setting near Herndon, VA. Qualifications:

  • Current Virginia SLP license (open to Clinical Fellows)
  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and verbal behavior
  • Experience with school-aged students and/or in healthcare settings is welcome
  • Familiarity with AAC devices (Proloquo2, Touch Chat) is highly valued
  • Comfort working with students exhibiting challenging behaviors (aggression, self-injury, property destruction) is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services in-person or via teletherapy
  • Collaborate with educators, support teams, and families to create individualized communication goals
  • Assess, plan, and implement interventions for a diverse caseload, including students with significant behavioral needs
  • Utilize AAC and assistive technology devices appropriately
  • Maintain documentation, track progress, and participate in IEP or team meetings as required
