Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active Virginia SLP license required
- Familiarity with ABA principles and verbal behavior essential
- Open to Clinical Fellows (CFs) eager to gain school-based experience
- Comfort and skill in implementing AAC devices (such as Proloquo2, Touch Chat) strongly preferred
- Experience supporting students prone to challenging behaviors (aggression, self-injurious behavior, property destruction) considered a plus
- Interest in working with a diverse age range and a variety of individual needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapy for students requiring speech and language support
- Collaborate closely with special education professionals, teachers, and families to support student progress and generalization of skills
- Leverage technology and AAC devices to facilitate communication for students with complex needs
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation of services rendered and student progress
