Qualifications & Experience:
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Valid Connecticut Department of Health License for Speech Language Pathology
- Teacher Certification 061 as required by Connecticut state statutes
- Experience working in pediatric and/or school settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to partner effectively with students, families, and staff
- Ability to tailor therapeutic interventions to a diverse population across various grade levels
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and implement personalized treatment plans, and deliver engaging therapy sessions for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and parents to maximize student outcomes
- Serve sites working with a range of students—self-contained settings and general education classrooms
- Maintain thorough documentation and prepare reports in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, provide staff trainings, and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a positive, supportive environment where each student’s voice is heard and valued
