Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Connecticut SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with middle school students
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities with teachers, parents, and school staff
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage a full caseload effectively
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with student teams
- Document ongoing progress and maintain thorough records
- Consult with teachers and provide strategies for classroom support
- Attend required meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Communicate regularly with families to address questions and outline student progress
