Key Experience and Skills:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state SLP license (or eligibility for immediate licensing)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, but strong CFY candidates also considered
- Previous experience in school settings, especially with middle school students, highly regarded
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students’ speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy to a middle school caseload, utilizing evidence-based practices
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists
- Maintain accurate student records and timely documentation
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to progress reports as required
