This contract position starts August 25, 2026, and runs through June 8, 2027, offering the perfect environment for professionals interested in both onsite and homebound service delivery. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting students’ communication needs, both at a school location (TBD) and for those who are medically homebound.
This position is designed with flexibility—you can choose full-time (37.5 hours/week) or a part-time schedule, Monday through Friday. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team and work directly with students to provide essential therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current and valid Delaware SLP license (required for consideration)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in a school-based setting, including IEP development and service delivery
- Comfortable collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for working with children and adapting communication approaches to diverse learner needs
- Willingness to travel within the district, including to students’ homes as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students in school and homebound settings
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress
- Engage in IEP meetings and collaborate with families and educators
- Provide consultation and support to school staff regarding student needs
- Adjust caseload management as it fluctuates during the school year
