Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in New Castle, DE

This contract opportunity for the 2026/2027 school year focuses on supporting students in grades 8 through 12, offering flexibility and a collaborative team atmosphere. The position is part-time, with the schedule ranging from 1 to 3 days per week depending upon enrollment. You'll be responsible for evaluations, reviewing 60-day IEPs, and monitoring benchmarks to help students thrive academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Delaware SLP license required
- DE certification and prior experience in a school setting
- Expertise in conducting comprehensive evaluations and developing IEPs
- Comfortable working with adolescent students (grades 8–12)
- Ability to attend and participate in IEP meetings
- Open to considering experienced teletherapists who can work remotely
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
- CFY candidates with relevant school-based experience are welcome
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough speech and language evaluations for assigned students
- Review and document progress towards IEP benchmarks
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering insight and updates on student progress
- Provide direct therapy in group and individual settings
- Maintain timely and accurate records in accordance with school policies
