Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Middletown, DE
An exciting contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist interested in working with K-12 students during the 2026-2027 school year. This on-site position near Middletown, DE, offers the chance to make a genuine impact on students' communication development across elementary, middle, and high school settings.
You'll collaborate with a supportive school community, utilizing your expertise to evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech and language needs. Candidates with experience in school-based or pediatric SLP practice are highly valued, and those holding the CCC credential are especially encouraged to apply. Spanish language skills would be a welcome asset, though not required. Recent graduates and Clinical Fellows may be considered.
Qualifications:
- Valid or pending Delaware Speech-Language Pathologist licensure (must be active before the start date)
- Experience in school or healthcare settings with pediatrics or K-12 students
- SLP-CCC credential preferred; Clinical Fellows will be considered
- Ability to work onsite and succeed in a dynamic school environment
- Must pass a background and drug screening
- Spanish proficiency is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student progress
- Document evaluations, interventions, and progress in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
This position offers the flexibility to tailor your daily schedule within the school hours of 6:45am - 4:00pm, ensuring a mutually agreeable work-life balance—whether you prefer a set schedule or varied hours.
