Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Newark, DE

Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ communication growth with a dynamic K-12 caseload for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity is perfect for certified Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) or Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA), including Clinical Fellows, who are passionate about providing high-quality speech therapy in an engaging school setting close to Newark, DE.
The assignment runs from August 19, 2026, to June 11, 2027, with full-time hours (35-40 hours per week). Schedule flexibility is offered within the established school day: elementary (8:00-4:00), middle and high school (6:45-2:45), or a mutually agreed split such as 7:30-3:30. Bilingual Spanish skills are appreciated but not required.
Key Qualifications:
- Active or pending Delaware SLP or SLPA license
- Experience or comfort working with K-12 students in school, pediatric, or healthcare settings
- Ability to work on site and successfully complete both a drug screening and background check
- Open to supervising Clinical Fellows and SLPAs
- Spanish language skills are a plus
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based speech/language interventions to a diverse student population
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families
- Support IEP development and documentation
- Participate in meetings and coordinate with the school’s multidisciplinary team
