The assignment begins as soon as possible and is anticipated to continue through at least December, with the possibility of extending through the end of the academic year.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current SLP licensure or eligibility in Connecticut
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or CFY candidates considered
  • Previous experience within a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to providing services to diverse populations, including preschoolers and involvement in Birth to Three evaluations as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a manageable caseload of up to 20 preschool students, tailoring interventions to support a range of communication disorders
  • Conduct thorough assessments, including Birth to Three evaluations dependent on referral volume and student needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and related professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Deliver therapy sessions in accordance with IEP goals and district guidelines
  • Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation required by state and district policies
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere that encourages each child’s growth and participation

This contract offers a consistent, family-friendly weekday schedule, with workdays beginning at 8:30/9:00 am and ending at 3:00/3:30 pm, totaling 30 hours per week.
